Don’t Expect Much: The Highlights of 2 Weeks of Research and Writing

Have you ever been at the point where your creative juices are flowing like a creek in a desert? ( See even here I have crossed metaphors like a… no simile come to mind.)   The harder you try the less that happens.  I have been trying for days to come up with a witty post that would make people smile, perhaps challenge them and maybe even make them want to come back and revisit.  In the last two weeks I have written and deleted so many posts and ideas for articles I can’t even keep track.

The following five points are the best of what I came up with.  They all start the same way so you can remember them better.

I have literally spent hours on these.  I wish I was joking.

The rest of the week I will be posting all the lame stuff I came up with but did not make the final cut.  These articles involve letters, words, sentences, and thought progression.  And they probably will fall short of the five points above.

  1. Happy Zombie Uprising Day.

    Matthew 27.

51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

Zombie mini-apocalypses must happen often enough in that part of the world that they’re not even worth recording. Come on! No one else even mentions it! I gotta hand it to whoever wrote the book of Matthew for having the foresight to include this enlightening event in the most infallible book ever written. If it hadn’t been for him, we’d only have one zombie stumbling around on Easter Sunday.
